500 4-5lb Rainbow Trout added to Emilys, Oscars and the Main Lake to improve catch weights on these three lakes during colder weather. They will also help reduce the volume of small fry. |

New record catch at Birkwood |
10th May 2009 |
John Crampton of Rothwell AC created a new record at Birkwood Fisheries. Fishing on the Main Lake on sunday 10th May 2009 caught 116lbs 7oz in a 5 hour match from peg 15 on pole and pellet. Well done John. Dick pp Birkwood Fisheries |

Both the river and canal are now open for fishing. For the canal drive down the lane following the road to the river. When you cross the canal bridge park straight on and the pegs are on the left hand side of the lane (very sheltered). |
