WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL ENQUIRIES ASKING IF WE HAVE NIGHT FISHING ON THE LAKES AT BIRKWOOD. SORRY, BUT ONLY DAY FISHING.
Due to people leaving their rubbish on the bank side and also not paying in the honesty box... we have decided to close the canal for fishing. Yet again sadly a few spoil it for the many! But I am not prepared to keep picking up peoples rubbish and often human waste too!
Sadly from 1st April we are having to increase our prices to £12.00 per person. We have been hit hard by Government changes to National Insurance contributions, business taxation, energy price increases and fuel price increases. These costs have to be passed on as we simply can't absorb these any longer.

We can no longer accommodate Family Groups around the lakes. The rules are 1 Fisherman plus 1 guest only. .We have been getting complaints from our fishermen about the disturbance caused by children running around.
We now accept card or cash payment on all the lakes.
Unfortunately we are closing River Fishing at Birkwood. The high floods in Winter have caused the banks to be unstable and in the interests of customer safety we have decided to close fishing on the River .
